
Silverlight provides the same great capabilities on mobile devices as you are familiar with on the desktop. But there are some differences you should know when targeting mobile devices. This session will show you how to make your Silverlight applications device agnostic as well as how to optimize your designs for multiple targets.
A Microsoft MVP, Tony Whitter has worked as a software developer, consultant and trainer for over 30 years, including four years as the Head of Technology for a multinational software corporation. He now runs Whitter Technology, a .NET development, consultancy and training firm based in Europe. Tony has authored a popular series of .NET training courses, trained numerous developers, spoken at major international conferences and worked closely with Microsoft on Visual Studio 2005. Recent projects include the creation of e-learning content for the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 Developer Resource Kits and client development using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
Please note: The demonstration source code requires Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition or better (not Express), the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 SDKs for both Standard and Professional and either Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 (Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 (Windows Vista). Also required are Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1 and Silverlight Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
