Introduction to Windows Mobile 5.0

This session will provide delegates with a high-level overview of Windows Mobile 5.0. It will explain what it is, what its goals are, its main new feature, the available development tools including the SDK and the GoLive licensing scheme.

Developing Applications for Windows Mobile 5.0 with Visual Studio 2005

This session will take an in-depth look at using Visual Studio 2005 to develop Windows Mobile 5.0 applications. It will cover both managed and native code development and will explain how to get the most out of Visual Studio 2005 and the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK. SQL Mobile, security and ActiveSync 4.0 will also be covered.

Windows Mobile 5.0 Managed APIs

This final session will delve into the new managed APIs that will be available in Windows Mobile 5.0 including the new State and Notification Broker, MAPI, SMS Interception, Pocket Outlook, Telephony, Configuration and Forms APIs.

Tony Whitter has worked as a software developer, consultant and trainer for over 30 years, providing solutions and advice to a wide variety of organizations and industries. Tony has developed a number of enterprise-level systems using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET since its release in 2000, and consequently has a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience to draw from. Tony has authored a popular series of .NET training courses, spoken at major international .NET conferences and is currently working with Microsoft on Visual Studio 2005. He now runs Whitter Technology, his own software development, consulting and training firm based in Manchester, England.
